GF Overflow Note: We have chosen not to list Omission beers as "gluten free" because they do not meet the FDA rules for gluten-free labeling.

"Omission is brewed from malted barley and specially crafted to remove gluten. Every batch is tested using the most up to date gluten detection methods which routinely shown no detectable gluten.

"On August 2nd, the FDA (U.S. Food and Drug Administration) issued a formal ruling announcing that the new national standard for 'gluten-free' food labeling is less than 20 ppm (parts per million). While Omission tests well below the new US standard, the FDA ruling did not apply to malted beverages made with barley and hops since those are regulated by the TTB (Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau)."
